The Price of War

War has a tremendous price for the warrior.  Men see their closes friends, their brothers in arms, breath their last precious breath as they give their lives in the name of service to their country. The female soldier who the world often views as a mother and a caretaker raises their hand to bring death upon the enemy.  Many read books and watch movies that glorify the act of war and the moments of unrestrained violence, but those who have experienced this reality know well that art falls short of the reality of life – when it comes to war.
This article in The Canberratimes is poignant and this great warrior is brave to tell his story. http://www.canberratimes.com.au/national/home-safe-but-left-torn-by-the-horrors-of-war-20120921-26bz8.html
