Fishing, Hunting, and Horseback Riding

I recently heard a country music song where the lyrics said exactly what my time with my boys fishing, hunting, and horseback riding was really about.
Fishing with my boys is not about catching alot of fish or the biggest fish.  As a matter of fact, we often do not catch very many fish or a big fish.  We spend more time fixing the tangled fishing line or baiting the hooks. Many times, they put their hooks on the edge where the smallest fish can bite.
Right now, they are learning to hold the BB gun and aim at a target.  We have yet to even start aiming at any squirrels, rabbits, or birds.  We normally only have one horse between the three of us.  I spend most of my time walking beside the horse while one of the boys rides.
The lyrics to the country song were about the father fishing with his young daughter.  The singer said one day the daughter would be older and no longer be interested in fishing but the time they were spending was more valuable to the father because he would always remember their time together. I am just like the country music singer.  The fishing, hunting, and horseback riding are memories that I am building that will always stay with me and hoping with my three boys.  Are you fishing, hunting, and horseback riding.  "YOUR THOUGHTS"

  1. i am very proud of you as a Father - stepping up to the plate, fishing, hunting, and horseback riding with the boys. Your presence in their lives means so much. YOU are an example for people to model. Willie and I try to do this often. Spending time with them whether, that is with their homework, allowing them to use their imagination, reading a bed time story, or just telling them often that we love them. I know these are sweet memories that we are creating and I am looking forward to creating many many many more memories with them - I LOVE MY family - and I CERTAINLY with all my HEART LOVE YOUR FAMILY!!! You guys are sooooooo special to me and dear to my heart.
