Social media-Laziness

Dean Obeidallah asked the question are social media creating the laziest generation? The question can be answered by looking at what occurred in Egypt, Iran, and here in the United States.
In Egypt a regime change took place. In Iran a social revolution was started. In the United States a Presidential campaign was built. These amazing events happened due in part to the use of twitter, facebook, and other social media tools.
The questions really is does this generation understand the powerful influence and purpose of social media. I would say from the above mentioned events, yes.
It can probably be said that when the first newspaper was published - did it make that generation lazy.
Oh by the way, Mr. Obeidallah did ask that he be followed on facebook and twitter. "YOUR THOUGHTS"
